SMALL SERIES
YEAR: 2003
PLACE: Turin
DESCRIPTION:
From 2002 to 2003 I have been Program Manager to Pininfarina Enjoy development. This project was aimed to translate the concept-car displayed at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show into a limited series for a privileged few to celebrate the 75th year anniversary of the company.
Enjoy was an ambitious project, combining the company ability to manufacture a limited edition for a road legal advanced car with the quality of high craftsmanship. Partners to this challenge were Louis Vuitton for the interiors and accessories design, Bang & Olufsen for the Hi-Fi Equipment and Dainese for the racing overall. The car, a modern interpretation of the most classic and suggestive body style – the barchetta – hided an open wheel racing circuit car.
Enjoy not only stated the return of Pininfarina to the activity of coachbuilder, that is, manufacturer of low volume series, but was also a real first as a car with the Pininfarina brand.
