DESCRIPTION:
Fiat 500 Pick up 4WD is a Concept by Pininfarina for a 2+2 seater open pick-up, based upon a 1992 Fiat 500 mechanics; the result of the Style research was a multi-purpose car to be transformed into a minivan, a berlinetta, a convertible or a coupé with the aid of specifically-designed accessories. I was still with Albatech at that time and worked on the design and development of the rear suspensions and the 4WD equipment. It was a super limited budget program and I ended it out working just with the support of a mechanic - with no drawing release - and doing everything in practice. It was a great fun and a great achievement when finally we looked at the car running and the 4WD working! My affection to that project was so deep that in 2007 I asked Andrea Pininfarina to sell me the car, what he agreed to do. Current Pininfarina management confirmed to sell me the car when I left the company.
My Fiat 500 Pick Up is now under restoration.
